The Classical Interpretation
Jazz Improvisation
Learn, Interpret, Improvise

A clear, time-tested pedagogy to transform technical mastery into creative freedom.
I am Lucas Taïeb and my passion is to cultivate accomplished, fully autonomous pianists, proficient in navigating the nuances of classical, popular, and jazz traditions.
My teaching philosophy is built upon four fundamental pillars:
Comprehension & Theory: Applied solfège, harmony and musical culture to understand the architecture of the works you perform.
Dexterity & Posture: Refining physical ease through scales, arpeggios, and technical patterns until the instrument becomes a natural extension of yourself.
Repertoire & Techniques: Establishing a rigorous strategic plan to sight-read, master, and polish your pieces with optimal efficiency.
Creativity & Improvisation: Mastering ear training, improvisation, and composition to transcend the constraints of the written score.
Essential Equipment
-
A dedicated practice journal to document training methodologies, monitor pedagogical milestones, and maintain an updated repertoire catalog.
-
An 88-key weighted-action digital or acoustic piano; failing that, a compact non-weighted model.
-
A sustain pedal (damper pedal).
-
An adjustable piano bench or, as a temporary substitute, a chair equipped with cushions to ensure optimal posture.
-
A metronome—whether integrated into a digital piano, a standalone mechanical device, or a mobile application.
Expertise and career path

My background synthesizes the academic rigor of the École Normale de Musique and the Conservatoire de Paris (certified by the Jean-Philippe Rameau Center) with a contemporary ethos forged within the Anglo-American musical landscape.
As a seasoned performer and improviser with over 5,000 instructional hours to my credit, I am an integral member of the faculty at the Lami School in Beaucouzé.
My distinctive edge? I am also a State-certified athletic coach. This interdisciplinary expertise allows me to apply a sophisticated understanding of musician’s biomechanics. I advocate for a fluid, tension-free technique designed to preempt physiological strain and catalyze uninhibited artistic expression.
Whether through my lessons, my Youtube Channel Ultimate Piano, or my solo and ensemble performances, my vocation remains the transmission of liberated and masterful musicianship.
